Banjo 006 Minnow Review
Product Overview
The Banjo 006 Minnow is a fishing lure that looks exactly like a real fish and also swims like one. It mimics the action of a wounded dying minnow which is so life like that it triggers a genetic response that makes fish bite even when they are not hungry.
What You Get
When you purchase the Banjo 006 Minnow, you will get the whole tackle lineup which includes 30 minnows in three different sizes, 2 glow in the dark minnows, 60 weedless guards, 9 weedless hooks, 2 EL sinko hooks, 5 sets of patented removable plastic eyes, 2 sets of patented removable metal eyes, an instructional DVD and also an instructional pamphlet.
Persons Behind It
Wayne Hockmeyer is a fishing guide and a tournament bass fisherman. He created the Banjo 006 Minnow after he noticed that using cartoon minnows, spinning blades and other unnatural looking lures might be part of the problem why the fishes were not biting.
What I Like About It
The Banjo 006 Minnow looks and moves exactly like a minnow, it swims like a wounded dying minnow which makes it more effective in catching fish. The reason? Most predator fish are genetically programmed to attack and eat crippled or dying minnows. The Banjo 006 Minnow looks so realistic that it will make fish bite even when they are not hungry. It is also equally effective on most species of predator fish that eats minnows.
What I Don't Like About It
The Banjo 006 Minnow only works well on clear waters with reasonable visibility. If you are using this lure on muddy waters with lower levels of visibility, it might not work as effectively.
Do I Recommend It?
Absolutely. With the Banjo 006 Minnow's realistic look and swimming actions, it is one of the best and most recommended lures out there. The set also comes with an instructional DVD and pamphlet that can guide you on how to use the product even if you are still a beginner.

Keith D Greene says:
The banjo 006 minnow is the best lure I have ever used. Soon as I got them I went a lake near my house and I caught 2 15lb catfish, 6lb bass, and a mess of crappie and bluegill. I also have a question for you. I was wondering if it is possible to catch pike on just a 5 inch minnow. From your fan and fellow fisherman Keith D Greene.

I purchased your product when it first came on the market in the 90's, and like most, I thought I was just throwing my money away...But after 3 casts a Bass hit my line so hard it scared me to death! But I regained composure and reeled in a 6 pound largemouth.....I used the little rattle ball that the first product came with and that caught me more Bass than I'd ever caught...Sadly my minnows all were shredded from all the fish and I never knew if I would ever see the Banjo Minnow again.....So let me say I am VERY happy to see you back and I am very happy to be purchasing your new and improved product...

just want to tell you, that my experience with the banjo 006 minnow was amazing. i was so surprised when i used it. i just got it about a week ago and i have only been fishing about 4 times, but i never came home empty handed. i always had fish. it was so cool. my very first time using it i was with my girlfriend, she wanted to fish, so i put one on for her and she threw it out. i told her how to use it and then i threw mine out. we both had a fish on our first cast, two largemouth bass. it was so cool. she didn't want to touch the fish though so i had to take them both off the hook. we kept fishing, and kept catching fish until she had to go to work. we had lots of fun. thank you so much for the fun i have had.

My name is Brandon Jensen, I am 14 years old, and on Monday, August 12, 2008, I caught the biggest largemouth bass of my life here in maryland off of your Banjo 006 Minnow system. I was kind of skepticle about this lure and wanted to get it to try it, but my parents would not let me get the tv offer. So I got it at Bass Pro Shops. Now I am a beleiver. The bass was over 5 pounds. I have no pictures, but I caught it in a place where I have never caught many fish before.
